caseSHARE Systems Integrates New Native File Viewer
News 2005
Denver Colorado--November 10, 2005--Catalyst Repository Systems announced a partnership with Stellent to offer their Quick View Plus Viewer as an additional option to facilitate native file review in Catalyst Repository, Catalyst's large-scale document repository. This tool augments a users ability to quickly view and review over 255 native file formats directly through the viewer without need for the original applications.
Native file review capabilities, which have been available with Catalyst since its inception, dramatically enhance the initial review of large electronic document collections. This makes the process faster, more efficient and less expensive. With 90% of today's information in electronic files, hundreds, or millions of electronic documents in various formats can be involved in the initial review of a complex litigation. File types include email, graphics, spreadsheets or word processing documents. "This enhancement to our Catalyst Repository application has been carefully planned and implemented in direct response to the needs of our clients," said John Tredennick, CEO of Catalyst Systems. Native documents in a repository by Catalyst can be searched and sorted with ease. Files can be examined for meta data, revision history or other "hidden" effects the original document might reveal. After review, the documents may be flagged for further review, redacted or marked for production. Catalyst's native file support depends on the individual collection and the client's needs. Users can preview a rich text or HTML rendition of the document for a quick view of file content. From each quick view there is quick access to the corresponding native file. This alleviates time delays in waiting for the entire file to download to the desktop for viewing. Alternatively users can view native documents with the Catalyst native file viewer and view hundreds of file formats directly in a web browser - opening the original in its native application when necessary to reveal hidden data. At the forefront of technology tools for litigation, Catalyst's Catalyst Repository offers many powerful options for managing electronic discovery.
