News 2009

visschercfoDenver, Colorado, April 22, 2009 - Catalyst Repository Systems today announced that Lew Visscher was named CFO of the Year by the Denver Business Journal. The awards are given to financial professionals in the Denver region for outstanding performance in their roles as corporate financial stewards.

The awards started with nominations from the Denver regional community and were based on a number of factors including company financial performance, contributions to the community and financial acumen. Nominees were reviewed by a panel of three experts before final selections were announced at a banquet held in the Hyatt Regency.

"I am humbled by this award," stated Lew Visscher. "There are so many talented CFOs in this region that even to be considered for the award was an honor. Being a part of a talented Catalyst team helps make my job so much easier. And, being financially successful in such a difficult time just makes things so much better for me and my team," he added.

"In a classic CFO sense, Lew is so widely respected in the industry and has immense credibility that having him on board created a comfort level on the financial side in the decisions we were making," said John Tredennick, Catalyst's CEO. "Lew possesses the rock-solid sense of integrity and honesty that represents the foundation of our company. It stems from his reputation of fairness. People know that when they have disagreements that they can take them to Lew and he will give both sides a fair shake and come out with a solution they can respect. I am pleased to see Lew's extraordinary dedication and success recognized by the Denver Business Journal."

After Visscher joined Catalyst in 2004, he oversaw a buyout from the Denver-based law firm of Holland & Hart (which owned a majority of the company) and then helped recapitalize and attract new investors. Since then Catalyst has had a positive cash flow. Revenue grew by 100 percent in 2007 and 70 percent in 2008.

Visscher brought over 18 years of business advisory, management, operational, financial and accounting experience to his position. Since then, Catalyst has continued to receive a number of awards and recognition for its financial growth, including being named to Deloitte's Technology Fast 50 for the last five years and named a finalist for Colorado's Top Company award. Additionally, Catalyst has experienced significant financial growth in the last several years, with increased in revenues of nearly 70% from 2007 to 2008.

In addition to his CFO responsibilities, Lew also serves as Treasurer and President Elect for Emergency Family Assistance Association in Boulder County which helps families with basic needs. He also created and runs "Lew's List," www.lewslist.com, a professional networking and job distribution list in the Front Range that supports nearly 2,500 finance and accounting professionals.
