Catalyst Releases CR 8.7 with Color Redaction, More Languages and Many Other Enhancements
News 2009 Denver, Colorado, October 20, 2009. Catalyst Repository Systems today announced the release of Catalyst CR 8.7. The release, scheduled for Wednesday, October 28, represents the fifth release of enhancements for CR this year.

"During tough economic times, many companies reduce their commitment to improving their products," said John Tredennick, Catalyst founder and CEO. "We have gone in the other direction. With our fifth product release this year, we continue to enhance our product with the goal of making it the best in the business. That is one of the benefits of using a hosted software platform. We can constantly improve our product without the usual problems of client software upgrades."

Some of the new features in CR 8.7 include:
  • Redaction Enhancements: Including color redactions, the ability to bookmark redacted pages and the ability to choose a default redaction set.
  • More Languages for Automatic Translations: CR now supports 33 languages for automatic translation while also adding the ability to extract text from PDF files for translation.
  • Review Batching Enhancements: Increased speed of batching algorithms for faster batching of large file volumes.
  • Combined Correlation Navigators: Simplified user interface of the correlation navigators to access key concepts, field and text filters.
  • New Jump-to-Highlight Feature: Reviewers are able to jump from highlight to highlight in HTML previews.
  • Choose your Time Zone: Site administrators can choose a default time zone for email conversions.
The release also includes a number of smaller enhancements and bug fixes.
