Catalyst CEO Joins Leading Entrepreneurs to Speak on What it Takes to Thrive in a Downturn
News 2009 Catalyst CEO, John Tredennick joined two other Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award winners for a panel discussion on December 10 from 8:30 - 9:30AM. The panel was part of a one-day seminar sponsored by Ernst & Young entitled "Thriving in a Downturn." It involved more than 350 attendees.

The panel also included Barry Cooper, CEO and founder of Cooper Tea Company (www.coopertea.com), and Dan King, CEO and founder of the successful web and phone conferencing company ReadyTalk (www.readytalk.com). The panel covered a wide range of topics including:
  • What should the focus be for a rapidly growing company in difficult economic times?
  • What are you doing differently now?
  • What are successful companies focusing on to prepare to scale when the economy rebounds?
  • What are the most important people issues facing your business right now?
  • Have you introduced new products or services?
  • How do you fund your growth?
  • How are your price points effected?
  • How do you prioritize risks?
  • What are the issues that keep you awake at night?
  • What emerging trend will have the biggest effect on your company?

All three panelists have not only survived but thrived in the current economy and are winners of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award for the Rocky Mountain Region.
