John Tredennick Will Deliver Primer on Predictive Coding Law and Technology
DENVER—June 19, 2012—John Tredennick, founder and CEO of Catalyst Repository Systems, will deliver the keynote address on predictive coding at tomorrow’s Masters Conference for Legal Professionals, an advanced legal education program that brings together leading industry experts and legal professionals.
Mr. Tredennick will speak on the topic, “Using Predictive Coding to Reduce Review Sets: A Primer on the Law and Technology.” He will explain how predictive coding works and why it is important for e-discovery. He will also review the current state of the law regarding predictive coding, summarizing what courts and academics are saying. Finally, he will offer tips and best practices for achieving the best results from predictive coding.
A lawyer and technology expert, Mr. Tredennick is a longtime trailblazer in the field of e-discovery. Prior to founding Catalyst in 2000, he was a trial lawyer and litigation partner at Holland & Hart, the largest law firm in the Rocky Mountain West. He is a former chair of the ABA's Law Practice Management Section and past editor-in-chief of Law Practice magazine. He also founded and was an editor of the ABA Webzine Law Practice Today.
Over the past two decades, Mr. Tredennick has written or edited five best-selling books and countless articles on litigation and technology issues. He was named one of the "Top 100 Global Technology Leaders" by London's CityTech magazine and served as a member of the Short Course Faculty at the University of Virginia Law School, where he taught the course, "Electronic Discovery in a Global Environment."
The event will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. at The Metropolitan Club. The keynote begins at noon. Lunch is included and a networking happy hour will follow from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
